ALEX MASI - Technicalities

i've had lots and lots of guitars...some great, some average, some shitty. in the recent years i started to prefer functionality and playability over name recognition.

for a number of years i've been playing manne guitars quite a bit...it started at first with the BACH album...the SEMIACUSTICA...i loved the fact that it sounded like a strange hybrid, not quite an acoustic guitar not quite electric...andrea ballarin of manne sent me a new electric guitar based on some ideas i gave him and it totally rules!...

one of my favorite guitars ever was that red charvel that's on the picture of me and shawn (lane)...unfortunately it got destroyed during a tour...

bottomline, give me as low an action as possible, low output pickups and i'm a happy camper...
